What open source and dentists have in common
So this morning I went to the dentist. I have the most fair and lovely dentist in the whole world, but today, there were a new dentist in town. Now I really don’t mind dentists, going to the dentist or doctors in general, but what i don’t like is not being informed about what is going to happen next. The same goes for open source projects.
5 simple rules for café trips
So yestoday Seph, Rune and me went to work. Apparently i came at the exact right moment, as the first question I was met with was “Hey, we talked about going to the downstairs café for brunch. You in?”.
Seeing as this is the thrid time we went down there in the last 3 weeks, we came up with a little ruleset for when we are allowed to ditch work, and have a relaxing cup of coffee.
Rules for café going for the Coniuro denmark office are:
- If it’s very hot outside
- If it’s very cold outside
- If it’s very windy outside
- If it became a habbit
- If it has been a while since the last time we went
If any of the rules should become true, we are allowed to go.
Having an office in the center of copenhagen has it’s advantages!
Fun with mod_macro and django
At work we yestoday decided to update our internal url structure for our client test sites, issue management systems and such arround a bit. Seeing as we decided on purchasing a genuine signed ssl wildcard certificate, we needed to change our url’s a bit.

Hazaar, hazaar!
At work I’m getting a feeling for the wonders of Actionscript 3. I must say, in the past week I’ve seen a handfull of very odd errors from the compiler and the new vm. Basically I enjoy the new style of coding allot, but it is not all that easy to jump right into the conversion without any prior experience with Actionscript 3. Expect to see a list of the pitfalls I was dragged through some time next week. A sneak peak is that alpha is not an integer from 0-100, but a float from 0-1. I knew that, but still set alpha to 50 way too many times.
