It seems that this theme does not like very short blog headlines. So I’ve put a min-width: 6em into the #header h1 {} definition.

So this becomes: 

#header h1 {
margin: 0em;
border: 0px solid gray;
padding: 0em;
font-size: 4em;
line-height: 0.75em; /* weird IE7 bug fix */
float: left;
min-width: 6em;
}
